Course: Autodesk Revit MEP

Course Description
This course has been designed to help aspirants understand the concepts and principles of 3D parametric models of MEP system, created from engineering design through construction documentation. The aspirants will be introduced to the user interface and the basic HVAC, electrical, and piping/plumbing components that make Revit MEP a powerful and flexible engineering modeling tool.

Class and Lab Hours: 80 (55 Theory, 25 Lab).

Prerequisites: The individual must possess a degree/diploma in Mechanical/Civil engineering along with basic computer skills and must be able to visualize the 3D concept of building services. Site exposure will be an added advantage.

Job Prospectus: The individual possessing the skills taught in this course can apply as an entry-level BIM Modeler or as a BIM Engineer.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, trainees/students will be able to:
  1. Create 2D and 3D models
  2. Understand Load Analysis
  3. Understand Fire Protection System
  4. Understand other advanced tools
This class focuses on the core concepts and available tools that the majority of users will need to work with Revit MEP.

Evaluation:There will be one exam that every trainee/student must pass with at least 75% or better score to get a certificate of completion from TIET.
