Course: Certificate Course in ArcGIS

Course Description
ArcGIS is an integrated suite comprising many GIS applications. Several frameworks of ArcGIS helps to create, compile, manage, analyze different types of database in GIS environment. This course provides the students with the knowledge and skills of using GIS database. Students will learn the concepts and function of ArcGIS software. It covers all the basic concepts, functions, and tools needed to manage small to medium-sized projects.

Class and Lab Hours: 80 (50 Theory, 30 Lab)

Pre-requisites: The applicant must have a bachelor's degree or master's degree or must be pursuing course (2nd year and above) in oceanography/ agriculture/ forestry/ horlticulture/ geology/ urban planning/ geography/ hydrology/ environmental science/ remote sensing/ GIS/ geoinformatics/and related disciplines are eligible to apply for ArcGIS.
The professional education on these softwares imparts knowledge of the techniques, and models used for gis, remote sensing, and gps. It frames students with the latest trends in geospatial industry.

Job Prospects: After completing graduation/ post graduation and earning good command over ArcGIS and other geospatial softwares one can be appointed as GIS Engineer/GIS Consultant/Remote Sensing Specialist/JRF/SRF/Project Scientist/Scientific Assistant/Image Analyst/GIS Analyst. Bachelor's students can also be appointed as GIS Intern at various GIS related firms in both public and private sectors.
