Course: Exploring Autodesk Navisworks

Course Description
Navisworks® is a project review software which enables architecture, engineers, and construction professionals to review integrated models and data with stakeholders to gain better control over project outcomes.

In this course, the students will learn integration, analysis, and communication tools of Autodesk Navisworks that help in coordinating disciplines, resolving conflicts, and planning projects before construction or renovation begins.

Class and Lab Hours: 60 (40 Theory, 20 Lab).

Prerequisites: Need to be an architect/engineer with basic knowledge of design concepts

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, trainees/students will be able to:
  1. Combine 3D models
  2. Navigate around the models
This class focuses on the core concepts and available tools that the majority of users will need to work.

Major Instructional Areas:

  1. The basics of Navisworks
  2. Quantity Takeoff
  3. Create 5D simulation
  4. Work with the renderings and also help to navigate around them
Evaluation:There will be one exam that every trainee/student must pass with 75% or better score to get a certificate of completion from TIET.
