Course: Bentley STAAD.Pro V8i

Course Description
This course covers the basics of Bentley STAAD.Pro V8i, with an insight on the use of conceptual design tool. The main emphasis in this course is laid on structural modeling and analyses. You will be introduced to the modeling techniques, structural loads, supports, properties, and concepts of analyses as they relates to the structural stability.

Class and Lab Hours: 80 (60 Theory, 20 Lab)

Pre-requisites: The individual must possess a degree/diploma in Civil engineering along with basic computer skills and also should have basic knowledge of steel structures. He/She must be able to visualize the results generated and the risks in the structure.

Job Prospectus: The individual possessing the skills taught in this course can apply as an entry-level for a Structural Designer.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, aspirants will be able to:

This class focuses on the core concepts and available tools that the majority of users will need to work with Bentley STAAD.Pro V8i.

Major Instructional Areas:

  1. Basics of structural analysis.
  2. Different steps involved in structural modeling.
  3. To create and assign support conditions, properties, materials, and loads.
  4. To assign the specifications.
  5. Analyzing the structural geometry.
  6. To create the analysis report.
Evaluation:There will be one exam that every trainee/student must pass with at least 70% to get a certificate of completion from TIET.
