Civil Drafting Using AutoCAD (BDM-01)
In this course, you will learn how to start with a building project using the latest release of AutoCAD. In addition to learning different sketching and editing tools in AutoCAD, you will learn how to draft a building plan and its related details. You will also learn the use of various services in a building design.Apart from creating 2D detailed drawing (Orthographic Views) of a building project, you will learn how to create its 3D model and render it.

In this course, you will also learn various customization techniques needed for creating template drawings and modifying the AutoCAD environment.

  • Different sketching and editing tools in AutoCAD
  • Drawing architectural plans, sections, and elevations of various types of building
  • Creating detail drawings of structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, and others

Architectural Design Using Revit Architecture (BDM-02)
In this course, you will explore various stages in architectural design of a building using Revit Architecture software. You will learn to create the conceptual design of a building and then conduct analysis of solar study, shadow, wind tunnel, and energy requirementin Vasari and Green Building Studio. Next, you will learn to create a schematic and detailed design of the building and then create construction documentation of the same. In addition, you will learn various techniques for rendering, quantity estimation, and point cloud conversion.

Additionally, in this course, you will be introduced to the BIM (Building Information Modeling)concepts along with various BIM standards used around the globe. A general overview of BIM software such as ArchiCAD and Vectorworks will also be provided to the students.

At the end of the course,students need to submit a project of a residential building, which is compulsory to earn the credit hours.

Structural Design using Revit Structure (BDM-03)
In this course, you will explorevarious stages of Structural Design of a building using Autodesk Revit Structure. Youwill learn how to create and work with various structural elements such as Beams, Columns, Slabs, Foundations, and others. Additionally, you will learn how to work with various pre-cast elements in the building structure. You will also learn about different schedules required during the structural design. Moreover, you will get have an overview of different design codes of Concrete and Steel followed in India, United States, and in European Countries.

Furthermore, you will learn to analyze and design the structural model created in Revit Structure in software like ETABS and Robo Structural Analysis. During the course,you will also be given an overview of other Structural BIM software like TEKLA.

At the end of the course, students need to submit a project on a Viaduct Design or Residential Structure.

Designing Building Services using Autodesk Revit MEP (BDM-04)
In this course, you will explore various stages required in the design of building services (M.E.P) using Autodesk Revit MEP. You will understand the essential services required in the building and their design application.In this course, you will go through various steps involved in creating a building envelope and then analyzing it for Heating and Coolingload requirement. In addition, you will learn various codes involved in the design of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Lighting, and Plumbing system of a building. This course will also teach you to create various MEP systems using Revit MEP software. Additionally, you will learn to create various schedules like Panel Schedules, Pipe/Duct Loss Report Schedule, Quantity Schedule, and others that are required for the sustainable design of a building.

At the end of the course, you need to submit a project on an Industrial Building (Preferably a Pharmaceutical building) showing various MEP requirements.

Project Management using Oracle Primavera (BDM-05)
In this course, you will be taught various stages involved in Project Planning and Management in a Building Project using Oracle Primavera. During the course, you will have an overview of the PPM concepts required for Project Management. In addition, you will be given an overview of Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) of PMI (Project Management Institute). The course will cover all aspects of planning and management fromcreating activities, calendars, baselines, and managing resources to tracking, scheduling, and updating.

During this course, you will be given an overview of MS Project. At the end of the course, you need to submit a project on a school building showing various planning and management stages involved in its construction.

Collaboration of Building Design using Autodesk Navisworks (BDM-06)
In this course, you will learn various aspects of Project Coordination and Collaboration using Autodesk Navisworks. This course will cover every aspect of coordination and collaboration that the modern day construction requires. You will learn to combine and coordinate Building Information Models from different disciplines. You will learn the concepts of clashes and process to detect themin the early stage of construction. In addition, you will learn about various theories and techniques involvedin 4D, 5D, and 6D simulation.

In addition to this, you will be given an overview of other BIM software for coordination and collaboration such as Solobri Model Checker and Solibri Model Viewer, VICO, and Timberline. You will also be given an overview of BIM 360 and other cloud based applications for collaboration.

At the end of the course, you need to submit a project on a school building showing various simulations and clash reports using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
